It’s easy to become overwhelmed by the amount of things going on during the month of December. With all the craziness it’s far too often that we neglect much needed time to rejuvenate our bodies and minds. It’s a shame that we let the last month of the year – a time that should allow for reflection on the last eleven months – become a time of stress.
Here are four tips to help you through the month with a little less stress on your plate:
1 – MEDITATE
We hear it all the time: Meditation is good for you! But we fail to set aside time to actually incorporate it into our lives. Try meditating 10-15 minutes each night this week before going to bed and see if it helps benefit your life. Looking for tips to help you meditate? Try this app that Emma Watson loves.
2 – SEE A MOVIE
Find a movie showing locally that you’ve been meaning to see. Set aside a little time and go by yourself. Treat yourself to some popcorn, turn off your phone, and enjoy sitting back and relaxing.
3 – SAY NO
Do you find yourself saying “yes” to every holiday party or event? You don’t have to. The power of saying “no” from time to time is actually very important. Obviously there are kind ways of saying no, but do not feel any obligation to say yes to everything that’s going on around you.
4 – GIVE YOURSELF A FACIAL
This is the best DIY I’ve seen. Try it out!
