Pumpkin Hot Chocolate

Here is a simple, delicious hot chocolate recipe to try this season:


Ingredients (serves 1)

  • 1 1/2 cups of almond milk
  • 2/3 cups of semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 of a Ritter dark chocolate bar
  • 2-3 tablespoons canned pumpkin puree (depends on how much pumpkin flavor you like)
  • Pinch of cinnamon
  • Pinch of nutmeg
  • Whipped cream


In a small saucepan set to medium heat, add the almond milk and the chocolate chips.  Stir until the chocolate chips are melted.  Add the portion of the Ritter bar.  Stir until melted.  Add the pumpkin purree and stir for a few minutes until fully blended.  Add about a tablespoon of whipped cream and stir until blended.  Add the cinnamon and nutmeg.  Stir for about 30 seconds.  Turn off the heat and pour into a large mug.  Top with whipped cream and a dash of cinnamon.  Enjoy!
